Your help is essential for us to achieve our sustainability goals. Discover how you can support our mission during your stay:

We have developed a towel change policy to avoid the unnecessary use of resources. We count on your cooperation:

  • If your towel is clean, please do not throw it on the floor; hang it on the towel rack to use it again.

Did you know that the Algarve faces significant challenges due to the severe drought affecting the region? We are doing our part by adopting measures that allow us to better manage this essential resource. Discover how you can help:

  • Prefer taking quick showers and turn off the tap while lathering your body and hair;
  • Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth or washing your hands;
  • Reuse your room and pool towels;
  • If you notice a dripping tap or shower, please let us know.

Our goal is to promote the reduction of energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, without compromising the comfort of our guests. We count on your support:

  • Do not leave your room card in the energy saver to avoid unnecessary energy consumption;
  • Do not leave equipment switched on when not in use (chargers, television, air conditioning, etc.);
  • The room temperature is set at 22°C; please avoid extreme settings to optimise air conditioning efficiency (max. 24°C – min. 20°C);
  • Ensure the window is closed when turning on the air conditioning (the unit will switch off automatically if it is not);
  • Turn off the lights in rooms you are not using.

We aim to play an active role in preserving biodiversity, prioritising native species in our gardens. Discover how you can be part of it:

  • Take your litter with you whenever you go on an excursion or outing;
  • Do not take stones or shells from the natural areas you visit;
  • Respect the fauna and flora of the Algarve.
  • Circulate always on marked trails and paths.
  • Do not light fires in unauthorised areas;
  • Preserve the tranquillity and green spaces.

We prioritise sharing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing, and recycling materials and products. We count on your help:

  • Avoid producing waste;
  • Avoid food waste;
  • Place your waste in the correct bin;
  • If you have any electrical or electronic device that is faulty, please inform the reception.
  • If you wish to make donations (books, sunshades, toys, etc.), please inform the reception.

We offer our guests the option to forgo daily room cleaning and linen changes as part of our sustainability programme. You can indicate your choice either upon check-in or by using the Do Not Disturb card available in your room.

Our sustainability policy reflects our commitment to integrating responsible practices across all our operations, promoting the efficient use of resources, reducing environmental impacts, and supporting the development of the communities in which we operate. Our goal is to create long-term value by balancing economic growth, environmental protection, and social well-being, in alignment with corporate responsibility principles and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Corporate responsibility has been a core value at 3HB Hotels since its inception. We have always strived to adopt efficient resource management practices and to conduct our activities in harmony with the surrounding communities.

We firmly believe that promoting sustainability in tourism is not only a responsibility and an obligation, but also an opportunity to contribute to creating a more balanced future and a key factor for our continued success.

Integrating sustainability principles into our operations is one of our core objectives. For this reason, we are committed to operating sustainably by promoting eco-efficiency, reducing our environmental footprint, and fostering innovation and environmental awareness among our guests, employees, and partners.

We are also committed to promoting integrity and good governance, valuing people and diversity, contributing to social development and citizenship, supporting community initiatives, ensuring transparency, and periodically communicating information about our sustainability performance.

This policy will guide our decisions and actions, which will always take into consideration:

  • The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda;

  • The principles of ESG Sustainability (Environmental, Social, and Governance);

  • Concerns regarding climate change and the protection of local biodiversity;

  • Sustainable procurement policies that take environmental management into account across the entire value chain and promote partnerships with local suppliers;

  • Self-monitoring and human resource management mechanisms that discourage both active and passive corruption;

  • Human rights, fundamental workers’ rights, the highest safety standards, and principles of inclusion and non-discrimination;

  • Customer expectations regarding the quality of service provided and the encouragement of sustainable behaviours, as well as respect for local culture and traditions;

  • Regional and sectoral tourism and sustainability policies, national and international legislation, and all relevant standards for our operations.

The 3HB Hotels sustainability policy reflects our commitment to providing memorable experiences while respecting and protecting the environment and the communities around us. Together, we work towards a more sustainable future, where hospitality and responsibility go hand in hand.
